Felicia, Blade of the Still Breeze

Post by AnemicRoyalty » Sat Jan 31, 2009 10:12 pm

Felicia
Blade of the Still Breeze
AGI; Bane.
Model: Huntress

The lord of the castle sat in his ornamental garden, sipping scalding hot tea
brewed from noxious smelling roots and fungi found in the local area. The
vile mixture calmed his nerves and eased the pain in his back and it numbed
his throat as it went down. He mused upon the day's happenings, satisfied
that his campaign was going well. The mortals under his command had done
exceptionally well eradicating his opposition in this province, surely such an
accomplishment would curry favour with lord Exuro. For he was a Voidwalker,
albiet a lesser one, too weak to stand against his greater brothers. Strong
enough to subjugate the local Baneites, however. This form he had
assumed pained him to maintain, but with just a little more power perhaps...
Yes, it will all resolve itself soon, hope springs eternal for those who grasp
the reins of fate. A gentle breeze played over the water of his ornamental
pond and then died, teasing ripples along its surface. He smiled. He was
still smiling when blood splashed the petals of his carefully arranged flowers.
He was still smiling as his head hit the ground, and then his body followed.
He was still smiling when she picked up his head and dropped it into a
hessian sack. A young female Baneite pulled her glaive free from where it
had stuck in the wall with a grunt. She dipped it into the pond and wiped it
on the grass. Raising the weapon to her forehead she whispered,
"Master, I have avenged you."

Level 1 Skill:
Blade of Eris
  • Target Unit, Enemy.
Throws a glaive at the target unit for X Physical damage. If the target was suffering from a condition, the glaive splits into two identical glaives and damages adjacent enemies. Max Y splits.
Level 1 Skill:
Stillbreeze Glaive
  • Target Direction.
Throws an invisible glaive in the target direction which deals X Physical damage on impact and Mutes the struck enemy for Y seconds.
Level 1 Skill:
Second Wind Throw
  • Passive.
Felicia's thrown glaives from attacks or spells have a X% chance to return on hit, inflicting Bleed on enemies on their return path for Y seconds.
Level 6 Ultimate:
Decimator Blade
  • Instant Cast, Circle.
Throws a giant glaive in a circle going anticlockwise in front of the caster, dealing X Physical damage per second and Maiming enemies for Y seconds.
I was a little torn when deciding on the theme here, could have worked equally well for a Torrne/Ginther-esque Barbarian but hey, who doesn't love Badass Baneite Bluchix? :p
Second Wind Throw probably wouldn't proc off Decimator Blade, or if it did, they'd be smaller glaives which appear every so often.
Decimator Blade would use the Glaive Thrower Missile (or a modified version thereof).

Thoughts, anyone?
Changelog

- Renamed Seeker Glaives to Second Wind Throw
- Renamed Glaive of the Gods to Decimator Blade
- Reworded description of Decimator Blade to better express spell's functionality.

Heroes with themes like Legion, aka a hero based on a certain minion or a hero based on a certain missile are quite attractive in my opinion, instead of being based on an element or emotion. I really like passive and his first skill but I question the invisibility of his second skill... I mean, it makes sense, but would be kind of strange to be like "woah I just got hit by something..."

Just out of curiosity, what model did you see this guy being?

Considering that it's a female Baneite who uses glaives, I'm gonna guess the huntress. Idk, though.

Love the skills, cleverness in each one.
Would do invisi-glaive skill use a casting animation? Because that would seem obvious.
Just me nitpicking-- counter clockwise, not anti.

The way Glaive of the Gods works reminds me too much of Tempest Wake, but it might be your wording that has me thinking that way. However, I love the rest of the hero.
Oh, and Glaive in three of the skill names isn't necessarily bad, just annoys me, like when I made a hero with "Arcane" in like all 4 of his abilities.

EDIT: Oh, yea, invisible glaive? Is it a line attack? Otherwise I'd say make it some cool faded ghostly glaive.
