Neither is demigod...
MMOS generally have lower graphic standards then single or limited multiplayer games becouse the world that is displayed is a lot larger, and a lot more data traffic has to be sent back and forth through the servers. Lowering graphic resposubility results in less traffic, wich can then be put to use for more important things, like communicating character data.
Look at age of conan, wich is a "good" looking MMO; it basically failed becouse nobudy could run the twinking thing.
Also wow is now what? 4 years old? and the engine was orginally contructed so that people who could run wc3, could also run wow. Thats purely theoratical though, to play wow comfortably you need a loooot more RAM.
