He raised his eyes to match the Deathand's
"I seek guidance in the way of a story, I wish to hear the tale of how one voidwalker faced down two of the fiercest heroes in the antivoid..."
He reaches into his robe pockets to grab something.
"I offer this penance not even fit for a barber... It is a measly 21 OP, but I hope you will accept."

Save your points.
Speak their names and I shall weave a story from the threads of imagination.

He nodded and returned his change to his pocket.
"I believe... One voidwalker bore the name of 'Blade' and the heroes were those that had lost something once and both sought redemption... This is all I know."
He looked around and saw a small fire in the corner of the area.
"Do you mind if I warm myself by the fire, my liege?"

"By all means. This is after all...Haven."
A pause as the Deathand turned to go to another section.
"Your request shall be granted sometime in the next 20 hours."
Then, he was gone.

The Deathand, looking slightly 'less' than his usual self, takes a seat on an Obsidian throne in the Altar room.
"It is done..." He whispers.

He nodded from the fire toward the chaplain of this dark castle.

Recovering from a wasting disease, the Deathand took pen in hand once more.

Re: Altar of Sacrifice (Requests)
The altar lays broken, the halls cracked and shattered.
Scattered here and there the remains of marble statues.
The likeness of the gods cast down into destruction.
The Black Throne is faulted in twine, crumbling into ruin.
The pit of fires smokes a single defiant whisp.
The banners hang, tattered and torn, in a withering limp.
The racks of weapons and stands of armor broken.
The stonework marred and rubbled, making the ground a veritable wreck of a way.
Even the air has changed.
Where once a curious mix of mischief and good natured laughter rang out...
Now only a deep despair and melancholy hangs.
'Ware folk of the clan.
This does not bode well...

Re: Altar of Sacrifice (Requests)
In ones and twos they come, garbed in white and gray.
To and fro they go, along their wretched way.
A stone here, some rubble there, broken rocks and jagged earth.
They whisper in their silent verse, the silent psalms of dark rebirth.
Once there stood a darkened throne.
Of purest Obsidian, decked out in bone.
Yet glory fades and betrayal appears....
Made dark a soul, made black its tears.
Cast out and down by powers once had.
Sound mind tortured and driven mad.
A mystic man, once thought odd...
Fell from heaven; A false God.
One life gone, dripping emptied veins.
In silver glass, craw crimson rain.
The juice of Sorrow, the drink of Pain!
Hollow memories inside his head...
Not of the living...
Not of the dead...
A chair can always be replaced.
A sword can always be reforged.
A statue made to stand once more.
A bitter fruit can be disgorged.
They come and go, by twos and threes.
Some suppliant upon their knees.
They cry out to their lost kin.
'Bring up redemption from your black sin!'
He stands there watching from the dark.
The twin-headed snake had left its mark.
He turns his back; thus will follow, you know it's true:
So will I and so will You.
In ones and twos they leave, garbed in white and gray.
To and fro they go, along their wretched way.

Once more the Deathand sits upon the Obsidian Throne.
Speak...unburden yourselves.

I remember a time in which VZ together delved great dungeons. I would gladly pay 35 OP if the Deathand were to call for such adventurers again.

Re: Altar of Sacrifice (Requests)
The Deathand takes a moment to consider.
Thirty-five OP is a trifle to small a sum for such possible rewards, however....
I will strike a deal. Keep your OP, but set up a topic screaming a call to arms.
All those that wish to participate should post saying so in that topic.
If I see enough names, rest assured, I will provide something toward such an adventure.
The Deathand leans back in the great throne, shadows covering his face once more.
Go...do what must be done.
