Dungeon Depths Challenge: Path to Hell

This place was made by the Deathand, and the Deathand keeps it. Open to those who have no qualms about talking chances, or enjoy a good competition. Haven holds events for users to gain Operator Points for use of Favor, or a trick or two. Who knows...you might even get inducted into the Order of Secrets...

Post by Kaome Sky Deathand » Sat Jan 10, 2009 5:02 pm

Well, for those of you able to play Diablo or the Hellfire Edition....
I will go ahead and start you off while the Angband gets sorted out.

The first challenge is rather simple.
Create a Level one Character, any class you wish, and post them up.
Be sure to include which Diablo you are currently playing on as that will determine what kind of challenges you get.

Diablo Game Bonus Challenges
Catch Phrase: "I gotta pawn some of this stuff!" Who?
STACKED: MAX 2 Stats
Defiance: MAX all Resistances

Reward: 2 OP
Bonus: 1-3 OP based on Character name Epicness.
Due Date: Tuesday Evening.

Barbarian named William MacLeod in Hellfire. Looking forward to kicking ass with some needlessly huge swords.
And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

William MacLeod has cleansed the waters and slain the Butcher in honorable combat. I await the next task. (Do you need some sort of proof, because screen shots seem to not work very well, and I have no idea what to do with a .pcx file)
And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

In ye olde forum, I used my cell to take a picture then uploaded it onto my laptop.
If you find yourself unable to do this...there is an alternative.

The Honor System.
I can trust you guys...correct?

A) Kill the Butcher: [x]
B) Clear the water supply: [x]

The mighty fabled Butcher shall fall to Alaric's far superior blade in the coming hours.

EDIT: The so called "mighty" Butcher has fallen to Alaric's blade. Alaric ascends from the deep, dark dungeon and awaits his next orders at the Tavern with a refreshing beverage.

Unfortunately, Kayla must pull back from the gates of Hell. I was not able to complete the task, nor will...Real life interfered. I am sorry.

Just killed every living (an unliving) thing in the catacombs, and yet Gharbad was not there. I'll have to settle for just whomping on Snotspill earlier. Oh, that and, at least if I'm understanding it right, I completed the Legendary challenge. My equipment is as follows:

Head -- Harlequin Crest
Body -- Wisdom's Wrap
Weapon -- Butcher's Cleaver
Ring 1 -- Ring of Truth
Ring 2 -- Empyrean Band
Neck -- Optic Amulet

I'm a little sad that I didn't get Arkaine's Valor either, but maybe the caves will treat me better.
And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

Find Snotspill: [x]
Find Gharbad the Weak: [x]

Bonus: Use and slay both;
Snotspill: [x]
Gharbad the Weak: [ ]

Currently on my way to deliver a present to my dear friend Snotspill. I don't think it's what he had in mind....
I have yet to find Gharbad in my adventures, but I shall continue my search.

Image

EDIT: One down, one to go.

Image

EDIT 2: I have found this sneaky beast which goes by the name "Gharbad". He shall soon fall to my blade.
