Post by Kaome Sky Deathand » Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:24 am

That's right....
I have no forgotten, forsaken, nor forgiven you all....
We play the games when the games are given...

A nice, Holiday gift.
Submit for me...OP for you...

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing and the Band
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

Opening Credits:
Engel - Rammstein (It's got a good beat for opening credits, too)
Waking Up:
Babylon - Skindred (Reggae/Ska/Rap/Rock and Roll? Yes, please)
First Day At School:
Black Sheep - Gungrave OST (A nice mix of emotions in this one, can't say it's off)
Falling In Love:
Daddy Sang Bass - Johnny Cash (Oh, Cash, this is so great)
Fight Song:
Du Hast - Rammstein (At least it's upbeat)
Breaking Up:
When You're Gone - DJ Mystik (Surprisingly fitting...)
Prom:
Listen to Your Heart - Furious F. EZ Radio Edit (This is the best fit so far)
Life:
123 Go - A Day In October (Good times right here, very smooth)
Holiday:
Awake - Godsmack (I must be on Holiday in the big city fighting vampires...)
Mental Breakdown:
One More Time / Aerodynamic / Aerodynamic Beats / Forget Around the World - Daft Punk (If I broke down to this, I think I wouldn't mind)
Driving:
Overburdened - Disturbed (This can't be a good sign)
Flashback:
The Witching Hour - Symphony X (It's got the right beat, no lie)
Getting Back Together:
Disease - Sevendust (I must be getting back together with a goth that's got 12 piercings... No argument there)
Wedding:
Red Eyes - Gungrave OST (Another from this? It's not far off, but I must be having a spacey wedding)
Birth of Child:
Needles - System of a Down (I AM THE FATHER OF THE DEVIL!)
Final Battle:
Be My World - DJ Mystik (Hahaha, this must be an 80's fight game or something)
Death Scene:
Remember the Name - Fort Minor (Shit yes, this is so utterly perfect)
Funeral Song:
The Fated Showdown - Shoji Meduro (Great beat for a funeral song. Makes it sound like I should be popping out of my coffin with a set of silver ballers...)
End Credits:
Halleluja - Rammstein (Makes me want to play that game again...)

Lots of rammstein, gungrave, and others. I do have like 60 songs from each, though, so their chances were high... Not that I'm complaining.

"Within every world, there are cultures, within every culture, there are groups, within every group, there are leaders. These leaders are not truly chosen, they are destined, it is their fate to lead, and it is this fate that drives them. Souls yearn to be driven, they in themselves can not direct, however, these leaders are predetermined, by whatever means, to guide the wills and mend the errors of these wandering souls. A forest, cold, cured, flawless, meticulous, and fearful, what drives it, what keeps the balance? The inner beings of all the co-existant creatures swarm together, and every one is guided by another, in more a cycle, then a hierarchy. The eyes of a forest are always watching and guiding, yet the sun never sets on the forest, and it never shall." ~ The Chaos Theory

Opening Credits: Pinball Wizard -The Who
That deaf, dumb and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball...

Waking Up: Penny Lane - The Beatles
Good Morning would have been more fitting. But I wouldn't mind waking to this song.

First Day At School: There You Go - Johnny Cash
Not my ideal first day of school, but I'm sure it happens

Falling In Love: The Story Foretold - Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Soundtrack)
I can't remember when this happens in the movie, but it's a beautiful composition. Thumbs up.

Fight Song: Can't Go Back - Fleetwood Mac
Eh, doesn't really fit, despite the name. It's just a man looking back at lost love.

Breaking Up: Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Hmm... While I'm sure this would help the passing of the pain, I wouldn't want to recede this far.

Prom: Hot for Teacher - Van Halen
Oh dear...

Life: A Wolf at the Door (It Girl. Rag Doll) - Radiohead
Odd song and kinda trippy. Wouldn't want to live the life described.

Holiday: Actions! Not Words - Def Leppard
If this were for Valentine's Day, I'd say awesome; but a general holiday, the song really is not fitting.

Mental Breakdown: Flushed From the Bathroom of Your Heart - Johnny Cash
Breakdown after a breakup? I could see it happening. Wouldn't really fit the scene, though.

Driving: Las Pablas de Amor - Queen
Not a driving song at all.

Flashback: The Banishment of Eomer -Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Soundtrack)
Another good one from this wonderful soundtrack, but I could think of much better songs for a flashback.

Getting Back Together: Blue Collar Man (Long Nights) - Styx
Well, damn. Back together and I'm working a bunch. Isn't that wonderful?

Wedding: Five Feet High and Rising - Johnny Cash
Nope. I got nothing.

Birth of Child: Without You - The Doobie Brothers
Please let that be towards the mother...

Final Battle: When You Go - Jonathan Coulton
Not even close...

Death Scene: Brown Sugar - The Rolling Stones
And everything keeps spiraling downwards...

Funeral Song: Sing for the Day - Styx
Ouch

End Credits: Leave My Girl Alone - Stevie Ray Vaughn
The first line is "You better leave." Other than that, sorry, doesn't fit.

Some were fitting well, and then it just collapsed. Not sure I'd want to see a movie that has this for a soundtrack.

To begin with, I did not cheat, srsly. The playlist I used had around 200 songs, my library ain't big. I didn't add whole CDs, but selections from them (the songs I like the most, every album was featured) + single songs without albums.
So, here we go...

Opening Credits: Slim Thug ft. Young Jeezy & Slick Pulla - Diamonds [remix]
If I assume it's supposed to be a birth song, it doesn't fit. At all. In fact, it has nothing to do with opening nor begining.

Waking Up: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within Soundtrack - Military Aggression
Lol, it sure is stimulating, would work for an alarm clock.

First Day At School: Stroke 9 - Kick Some Ass
ROFL, kick-off start of school, I'd say.

Falling In Love: Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round
Love in a disco, heh.

Fight Song: Big Pun - Off Wit His Head
Lol, that is a fight song. Very, very fitting.

Breaking Up: David Arkenstone - Shadows in the Myst
That would be a very calm break-up.

Prom: Pied Pipers - 16th of April
I dare say it fits. I love Irish instrumental music <3

Life: Loreena McKennit - La Serenissima
My life is calm and boring? D:

Holiday: Notre-Dame de Paris musical, Frollo, Gringoire - Florence
Holiday in Florence would sure be awesome xD http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7mPFOvHa0E4

Mental Breakdown: Notre-Dame de Paris musical, Clopin - Les sans-papiers
Double Notre-Dame ftw! As for the song, fits, it's quite anxious. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=U5vNha50j9w

Driving: Carreg Lafar - Aberhonddu
Good song for driving a tractor, lol, why wasn't it the love song ^_^

Flashback: Katie Melua - Nine Million Bicycles
But I've never been to Beijing D:

Getting Back Together: Clifford Gilberto - Hood in Tha 'Hood
Good song, but doesn't fit, at all.

Wedding: Mammas and Papas - California Dreaming
I can imagine dancing to it during a wedding. Fits, I say.

Birth of Child: Sheryl Crow & Eric Clapton from 'Pavarotti & Friends' concert in Modena - Run, Baby, Run
The begining is promising ("she was born in November..."), but according to the rest, she should run away from me D:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA4Z6JwaraY

Final Battle: Aberdeen City - Pretty Pet
Total miss, not fitting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaHS-y_mapQ - that's where I know it from

Death Scene: Vadya Lahari - Kriti: Chandrasekharam
Miss again, though death in India would be interesting...

Funeral Song: Mafia K'1 Fry - Pour Ceux
HA! Means my people would avenge me!!! ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HOB27DLEVM

End Credits: Nine Inch Nails - Just Like You Imagined
The theme song from 300 would work, imho ;)

Some matched, some didn't. Nothing Polish got randomed, heh. I must say I'm very disappointed nothing from Louis Armstrong went through :(

Song, Album - Artist
(Comments)

Opening Credits:
The Betrayer and the Sun King, Echoes of War Volume 1 - The Music of Blizzard Entertainment
-(Cool start.)

Waking Up:
Happy X-Mas/War is Over, Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon - John Lennon
-(Interesting. Born on Christmas Day!?)

First Day At School:
Woman, Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon - John Lennon
-(I'M GOING THROUGH PUBERTY SO FAST. Lame! It just couldn't be for the next song. I dunno. I mean, seriously. Lennon, twice in a row? Fag.)

Falling In Love:
The Last Journey Home, Ultra Beatdown - Dragonforce
-(So strange. I don't even know what to say. It seems somewhat fitting at some points. But, I dunno. I must have been doing some epic travelling.

Fight Song:
Direction Perfection, Astronomy - Dragonland
-(Starts off nice. Epic, actually. Fast based, bass heavy. Growling, cool. Quite perfect actually. It's more like a fight against someone I hate, if this isn't the point. Ends nicely, too.)

Breaking Up:
Cassiopeia, Astronomy - Dragonland
-(FLAWLESS VICTORY.)

Prom:
May 24th, The Perfect Disaster - Negative Impulse
-(By a small band from Dundas/Hamilton area in southern Canada. You will have never heard of them. EVER.
I don't think this really fits. Too heavy, probably. I don't the lyrics fit either.)

Life:
Through the Fire and Flames, Inhuman Rampage - Dragonforce
-(Wow. What the Hell? Oh well. Wasting bodies on shores and swearing to free everyman. Cool.)

Holiday:
Dehumanized, [?] - Disturbed
-(My holiday is pretty lonely.)

Mental Breakdown:
Higher on Fire, United - Dream Evil
-(HAHAHA, am I on drugs or something? I think so! Seriously, this is so unfitting. GOIN' HIGHER, ON FIRE!)

Driving:
Overburdened, Ten Thousand Fists - Disturbed
-(Ooh, I got the same as Dusk. Considering how the songs of my life have been going, I should just skip the rest and then finish with End Credits. Ha ha, get it!? Oh wait, I think I'm supposed to be dead already...)

Flashback:
Hail to the King, Dragon Slayer - Dream Evil
-(By the title, you'd think I'm in Heaven. Praise the Lord? But no. This is an awesome flashback. Striking with lightning and united in invincible force! Some of the lyrics are perfect. And then it drifts...)

Getting Back Together:
Building Music #5, Total Annihilation OST - Jeremy Soule (w/Cavedog Entertainment)
-(Seems a little too sad for getting back together. Must've been bonding through trauma or something. It really doesn't fit though.)

Wedding:
Calling Your Name, United - Dream Evil
-(This would've been GREAT for "Getting Back Together." But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Still, it's really good for Wedding too. Better for Basck Together still.)

Birth of Child:
Down with the Sickness, The Sickness - Disturbed
-(OHWOWLOLOMGF*CK DEMONCHILD. IT IS GOING TO KILL US AAAAALLLLLLLLLLL! Especially the ending. Mmmmm, death and dismemberment... OR MAYBE THE FATHER WAS EVIL. UAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH)

Final Battle:
Genius in France, Poodle Hat - Weird Al
-(Finally something upbeat... at the exact f*cking WORST time EVER. I got a negative number on my SATs, hahaha. Yet I'm a genius in France. Ugh, what the Hell.)

Death Scene:
Let's Make Rock, The Book of Heavy Metal - Dream Evil
-(We're celebrating my passing. It's so good I'm dead, because I was having the worst songs and life ever. They're dancing on my grave!)

Funeral Song:
Voices, The Sickness - Disturbed
-(Even when I'm dead, I'm making the world kill itself. It's really quite incredible.)

End Credits:
Cry of the Brave, Sonic Firestorm - Dragonforce
-(Hell, my life so weird.)

My turn! All of these are listed by artist, title, and a comment or something in parentheses. iPod on shuffle says...:

Opening Credits: Open Hand - Thought Process (A break-up song... Not a good start. oO)

Waking Up: Bob Dylan - All Along the Watchtower ("There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke..." Again, not good)

First Day At School: Black Crowes - Thorn In My Pride (This is getting depressing...)

Falling In Love: The Beatles - Across the Universe (Beautiful song. Fitting, I think. About darn time!)

Fight Song: The Mars Volta - Ouroboros (No comment. oO)

Breaking Up: Led Zeppelin - Kashmir (Well.. No complaints... >.>)

Prom: Muse - Feeling Good (Yay for feeling good!)

Life: Pink Floyd - Time (I hate to say I think the lyrics fit, but they do. Freaky.)

Holiday: Magnetic Fields - 100,000 Fireflies (Definitely not a holiday song!)

Mental Breakdown: R.E.M. - Fall On Me (No comment!)

Driving: Queens of the Stone Age - Hangin Tree (Almost all of the songs on this album are driving songs!)

Flashback: Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You (Live) (Not exactly fitting...)

Getting Back Together: Black Sabbath - Die Young (Bleh.)

Wedding: Interpol - No I In Threesome (><! Totally uncool!)

Birth of Child: The Cranberries - Zombie (Definitely not my first pick for a childbirth.)

Final Battle: The Who - My Generation (Again, no comment.)

Death Scene: Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Can you say "inappropriate?")

Funeral Song: Metallica - That Was Just Your Life (Metallica and funerals simply do not go together.)

End Credits: TV on the Radio - Lover's Day (At least this ends on a wonderful note!)

Death Scene: A night like this (The Cure)

Funeral Song: Oh! Darling (The Beatles)
The lyrics do sort of fit...

End Credits: Let's go smoke some pot (Dead Milkmen)
I think you might need to after this movie.
