And The Winner Is...

Post by Rising_Dusk » Fri Mar 21, 2008 3:19 pm

...Up to you all to pick! Of the three revised heroes I've posted, which do you all think is the most awesome? You can explain yourself if you'd like, I think that would be nice for the people whose heroes I revised. So yeah! If I forgot a number like a duration or whatever, please don't ignore a hero because of it. If you have questions, I can explain my choices and reasons for remaking the parts of all three of them, just ask.

Check the three revised heroes out here.

Thorry
Rock Crusher: Kassar's Fassat El' Afreet already did good job on keeping someone ruined. However, the implement of a stomp that ruin opponents (and himself) is sending chills down my spine. I won't comment it so much since my spine is getting chilled, from either him or the water that I just drank.
Outrage: It's too...weird. It felt like a delayed Symphony of the Night but it wasn't.
Grinder: Sure, it helps.
Reality Bender: It synergizes very well with all of his skills, but look in the other side; great, now we have another hero NOT TO TOSS CONDITIONS to.

6/10 - It's like something that would come out if Kassar mate with Atrius. It's like an offspring, and I hate offsprings.

Travayl
Lead Strike: The order has problems chasing+slowing the Bane heroes, now with this spell. It's perfect.
Reawakening: I didn't really liked the idea of toggled health restoration, debuff and cooldown reset. But it synergizes with ALL HIS SKILLS. So it's good with me.
Opportunity: With Kassar's Fassat changed to ruin, this would be a nice addition to the Order. I can never imagine the number of possibilities that this skill would bring. Now Aurea won't have to learn the Ash Arrows.
Master of Deception: It's like adding short-duration windwalks with all his skills. I'm cool with it.

Overall: 8/10 - "GODGODGOD WENEEDMORECHASERSLOLOLOL" enough said.

Canus

Engulf: Extending conditions...and -armor besides ruin is always good.
Black Hole Sun: It feels odd. But it gave a sign that it's becoming invisible unlike that first 2 heroes.
Darkwake: Kinda unreliable damage. But invis gave them high potential.
Penumbra: Awesome, but it DOES NOT MAKE SENSE WITH HIS OTHER SKILLS at all. (except invis.)

Overall: 7/10 - The ultimate kinda ruined it.

I vote for Travayl.

I voted for the Travayl, I imagined him Blink Striking around, and hell. He could be like Genobee, has the potentional to deal tons of damage, but his mana is gone in seconds, if you don't use him well.

Uh, maybe this was deliberate, but shouldn't engulf cause ruin? I mean...isn't that why you introduced ruin, to get rid of random armor debuffs?

I went with the teleport guy, Canus Unum was my next choice, but I liked the old Black Hole Sun spell more. The need one seems a bit to Atruis. I know that you can kill these wards as opposed to walking a few feet with Atruis' thing, but still.

I noticed that as well Darlly, any reason why it's a random buff and not Ruin?

but I liked the old Black Hole Sun spell more.
The only difference between the new and old one is that the new one doesn't hypercomplicate things by having that little hole in the middle and I removed that periodic blinding thing since it was pointless. It's still hugely different from Atrius. :/

The goal here was for them to stack.

Maybe you could think of something to do so that you don't have to make a random buff only used by him? Change the spell up a bit or something, I dunno.

I'm definitely a fan of the new Canus Unum.

Too bad both Canus and Travayl couldn't be added :D
The dwarf is a good hero and all...but I guess I'm just not a fan of those type of heros.

Is it just me that thinks Canus Unum uses too much darkness to be on Order?

Darkness and Light aren't necessarily good and evil, look at Glasse!

Holy and Unholy are, but that's another matter entirely.
