The Big-Bot Brawl

For some reason, I found myself watching a lot of shows with giant robots and it got me thinking: what if they were all thrown into an arena for a free-for-all? And I know there are probably plenty that you all can think of that aren't in the poll, but it's limited to ten options so feel free to post your own if you think you have a giant ass-kicking mech that would beat all of those mentioned above. And feel free to post any opinions in how you think it would go down, or why any one or more would seriously rape all others or just suck altogether.

it would really come down to Shining Gundam and Unit 01, is only for the fact that all of the G Gundams were ridiculously mobile, while Voltron, the Megazord, Mega Godzilla (sure it wasn't Mecha?), and Big O are all fairly slow moving. Mobility + Shining Finger spells death for any of the slow bots. Meanwhile Raging Raven (technically not a robot) and Optimus Prime are fairly small, comparatively, so your standard robo punch from either Unit 01 and Shining Gundam would crush these guys.

To be fair though, Unit 01 wins hands down, because nobody else can do a thing to hurt him. Recall, AT fields tend to be strong enough to block Nukes. All he has to do is tank whatever they throw, then stab them back. This isn't even taking into account the berserker mode.

I have to say Armored Core: Nine Ball.
Back in the day that was the most hardcore giant robot out there.
No matter what AC you pulled out he just destroyed you...over and over and over again.
When you finally beat him, it didn't even matter, 'cause he would come back and somehow be more epic than before.
Hats off...

In terms of the 'slow moving' ones being obsolete from sheer lack of speed, the Bolt Gundam, most likely the slowest moving one in G Gundam, shows on more than one occasion throughout the series that strength can often overcome speed, just a matter of how much. Not to mention that the neural connections that pilots have with their Gundams and Evangelion Units, make it so they themselves are injured with the damage done to their mechs, which could be attributed as a serious disadvantage.

I actually considered putting one or two in the list from armored core, but it'd been a while since I played and there were just too many for me to choose from.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to say the Emperor-Class Titan from 40k.

In case you were wondering, it's the one bigger than most people :D

But seriously, 130 feet tall walking uber-cathedrals with shields stronger than most space stations and an arsenal easily eclipsing the entire human race's nuclear arsenals combined? Yeah, I'm going to have to go with that one.

You know, just going "LOL MY ROBOT BLOWS UP GALAXIES" doesn't make it badass. It just makes it inflated without care for reason. (or physics)

Nine Ball from AC2:AA stands as one of my favorite mechs of all time. The final fight was so intense, that I played the game with new ACs specifically to tech them to possibly, in a one-in-a-million fight where I was in-the-zone and wired on crack, could beat him. No questions, here.

If memory serves, I used the "I HAVE A GIANT CANNON" build for most of that game, and killed most of those final arena bosses... don't recall if I beat Nine Ball or not, honestly...

If you used the cheat-mode to walk while using the giant cannon, the game was easy. (You could also hike up the actual difficulty, too) However, if you had to kneel to use the cannon against Nine Ball, you'd never keep him in your sight long enough to hit him and he'd subsequently shred you into oblivion.

Sure it does, Big ass giant robot with big-ass giant weapons = Bad ass giant robot with bad-ass giant weapons, haha

We're talking about giant mechs battling each other, pretty sure in this realm both reason and physics are kinda shot in one way or another.
And while yes, Nine Ball does rape in AC2:AA, I must disagree with you and Kaome on how awesome he would hold up in said battle royale. Nine Ball rapes other Armored Core. His awesomeness is limited to how awesome he is compared to the other ACs you can build. So when put up against other mechs that surpass the limitations of the normal ACs, i.e. big ass cannons that can be fired on the move, I gotta say, he just doesn't hold up.
