In the unlikely case you don't know what evony is or haven't seen any of their ads, I envy your ignorance (but not too much, let's not forget that I'm perfect). It's basically another of the billion horrible in-browser games, with which you can really show your boss or teacher how unproductive you can get when manipulating a keyboard. But I won't get into that... too much. It is supposedly medieval themed, and their first ads preached on how you needed to "save the princess", save for one detail. There's no princess to save.
You were tricked by the female image! How clever. Beer ads have been doing this for decades already, can we give it a rest, pleez?
A quick search on google images will explain more than I could type in a lifetime;

In addition, it would seem that I'm not the only one that's sick of their prehistoric marketing techniques. Yet another quick search on google for "evony ads" will lead to...
...featuring entertaining statements such as:Results 1 - 10 of about 2,820,000 for evony ads. (0.16 seconds)
"Evony ads bring new meaning to the term 'booby trap'"
"Fed Up With Evony Ads?"
"The evolution of Evony ads - or "more boobies makes more clicks ..."
"Is there a way to disable the Evony ads in Google Chrome? I use the internet with a projector in a classroom with young children, and I'd rather not have the distraction of these ads."
...and it goes on and on.
These ads bring so much frustration and make even my (mighty) brain collapse into a black hole of stupid. I had to actually spend some time thinking about this very sentence "how much can these ads irritate me?"
The first and foremost issue that this brings up is the fact that they have been doing it for so long - which clearly shows that these ads WORK. Now, I'll keep myself from bombing this peaceful little forum with a rent about "our" values and social norms.
But this is so f*cking clever! If it bleeds, it leads (or in this case, if it milks it leads, har har har) and I guess that myself talking about it IS in some way part of their ads. Are they this clever through their blatant exploit of the male brain? What if their ads campaign wasn't just about boobs, but rather, about people TALKING about the atrocity of their ads campaign?
Lastly, I have witnessed that the very websites that were advocating against these ads had ads of their own about weight loss (see: flawed and fake before & after pictures), online meetings where you see a supposedly "hot" lady exhibiting her intelligence (I meant breast, my bad) or stupid online college degrees. Hi, this kills your credibility.
...
Holy shit! I was tricked!

Why do you think these ads are still being aired?
Is there a certain internet authority that can be pressured to prevent the further dumbing down of our people, thanks to evony ads?
