I'm about to buy a system (finally). Got some money to spare so I was looking for some computers that I could last me a few years while being cost effective. I've gone through some sites and I think either fry's or newegg has the best prices. Here's what I've come up with so far:
http://www.frys.com/product/5810253?sit ... IN_RSLT_PG
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6883229100
Eh?
Or am I a total noob?
Or maybe just really cheap?
New computer?

The build is $100 more after rebates, but this PC will last you almost twice as long and is ridiculously powerful. I didn't include a keyboard or mouse, but I can't predict what your preferences are.
I'm PMing you a legal license key for windows XP professional 64 bit. If you need help getting it to work, contact me. If you don't have a legit copy of the XP disc, I can supply you with one.
