DJ Oxygen's?
DJ Oxygen's?
Yeah, so I'll start pursuing one of my oldest dreams, creating techno/industrial genre music by remixing a few songs by some of my favorite bands.
Does anyone here have experience with anything? I'll start up with adobe soundbooth. I don't have a table, I don't have anything. Just my brain and some good musicality. I'll update with anything I come up with that I judge half decent.

You're asking about software? Be more precise.

I'd like to be able to proprely edit and modify soundsandriejj wrote:You're asking about software? Be more precise.

Hmmm... For basic sound editing, you can use wavepad. It's free and rather good. From more advanced, but commercial products, and more about creating music than editing, I know of Reason, Cubase and Fruity Loops. The first one being the best (interface, lots of plugins and refills) and the last one being the worst (on the other hand, it's also the cheapest, 49$ for express edition). Here's some big list of free music software, maybe you'll find something there.

This thing looks good, but damn, it's for Linux. Anyway, for what you want to do, I'd recommend to search for some sequencer, something similiar to this.

EDIT: This site seems better. Categories are on the right side.

Let's do what comes naturally
I'll be waiting in Haven.

Thanks, I'll look into it!
Re: DJ Oxygen's?
Reason is far superior over Fruity, and better than Cubase, imo. But both Reason and Cubase are damn costly ;P Dunno if they have some cheaper hobbyist version.Loki wrote:Yeah, Use those. Took me awhile to figure out Fruity Loops but it works great!Cubase and Fruity Loops
And a bit offtopic. That cream in your signature... It looks like it was flowing with you-know-what. Intentional? ^^

Re: DJ Oxygen's?
Never heard about Reason, but I know ALOT of people use Cubase and Fruity Loops.

It's actually part of a half-long story. In fact, it goes back to the days when I met jess. My World of Warcrap name was "Cream". Eventually, I made it to the rank commander, such that my full displayed name was "Commander Cream". Add that to the fact that I was one damn pervert on vent, and my guild leader added you-know-what droplets to my old signature.andriejj wrote: And a bit offtopic. That cream in your signature...
