Jeez don't you know that it's 1d6+2d6 for every three caster levels?
Factoring in magic resistance, size of group, and other trivial variables....
Close to around 6d6, half if he makes his saving throw.
Besides, it's obvious this is a noob party. Guy's trying to crowd control with sleep, but the lady with the lightning keeps dispelling it.
Where's the teamwork, oy vey...
