Hint collection

This is where all random discussion about AotZ goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

No, his is an exception. He dies and revives with nothing, regardless how it finishes -- Only that it finishes.

Doesn't it cause enough damage to win the game, though?

If played correctly, yes.

with this new mana system, what will be done with Intelligence heroes, who rely on this skill that has been replaced by a new system. (If my interpretation is correct)

Play League of Legends, get to level 10 and I get buffs.

They'll be even more pwn because they won't run out of mana?

Virtually. Mana will charge based on damage taken, damage dealt, or skills used in the case of things without damage as a byproduct. I'm a firm believer that limiting a player's use of a skill should be minimal, if present at all. Most skills will not cost mana at all in 3.00, for instance, whereas certain others may, but won't sap your whole energy bar like ultimates. Additionally, the ultimates may only cost your whole mana bar at once or they can drain your mana bar like immolation, but with insane effects over time, or they may be repeatedly used in succession with short bursts of mana drain.

Essentially, everyone will have a static mana pool throughout the game, so you don't have to worry about stats the way you would in any other AoS. You do not regenerate mana naturally, nor does it come from potions or the like, as far as I know.

Intelligence and other attributes take on new roles in 3.00, don't worry. Everything Scarlet said above is correct as well.

I already mentioned this in another thread: The changes you make between 2.XX and 3.00 are so tremendous that nobody who plays 3.00, would associate it with the 'original' AotZ. Imagine a map...
- triple size of AotZ as you knew it so far
- completely different spell and attribute system
- single ultimates that can and will determine victory or defeat (most of them didn't do so in 2.XX)
- games that last maybe only 10 minutes (in 2.XX: 45 min to 2 hours (yeah I already had this))

This is a completely other map and thus shouldn'd be titled 'Advent of the Zenith' anymore. It's more like the third chapter of the bane wars. I advocate to choose a new map name.

'Do tell me - Is it hard to walk in midair?'

'KILL! MAIM! BURN!'
'Blood for the Blood God!'

'Defeat... is NOT an option!'
'COWARDS'

'Tch, headshot!'
'Big, strong and handsome? What else do you want?'

Except that it's still the same battle? I'm all for Dusk making a map later that advocates long, drawn-out play, where you're constantly vying for a small advantage in a massive warfare type thingy, but that would have to be a different battle, perhaps a variation on the battles in the Void.

"Advent of the Zenith" is the "Beginning of the End", I wouldn't be surprised if it ended fast.

These games won't last ten minutes on average, ten minutes for every game would be rather anticlimatic. I expect games between closely skilled players to take no longer than 45 minutes, but in total slaughters it can be over far sooner. Remember, the higher level you are, the more powerful your ultimates are. In this regard, your ultimate won't be game ending right away.. But it'll still hurt a lot. :p

I've thought about all these changes and stuff and I'm convinced by now this will be the fuckin' best AoS map ever. :D Omg, I can't wait to play it. Wanna see sreenshots, test replays, more info, etc. as soon as possible!! Best would be a beta test version. ;)
