Aot2 Series Final Update

This is where all random discussion about AotZ goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

I'm sure I'm not alone to find aotz games to last ridiculously long.. any ideas how to perhaps improve this component without making the fans qq?

edit: also, bane doesn't have the shops by their fountain, just like doe actually, and I happen to like shopping and healing at once

Buy potions when shopping, click them, and tada!

You are now shopping and healing :o

And spending money that's really better spent on other things.

Seriously though, destructible walls.

I like the fact that the games can last for so long... Its DoE's flimsy towers and short games that I don't really like :P

2 hour games aren't fun. They're epic, yes, but not fun.

Removing some towers in the main base wouldn't hurt, or? I know it won't change much, but every little bit helps.

Short of copying systems from DoE over, not much is going to be fixed in the way of game duration. A lot of the DoE systems were put in place specifically to promote games ending. Things like removing power plants and having fountains at the main break, those are the things that will speed up games substantially. Removing one tower? Not so much.

I think I'll probably just sac tower life or something, I'd rather not make bases emptier.

Then I'd have to do all sorts of changes to workers, too. Those two systems were designs to counterbalance one another.

Dropping hp a bit should shorten them considerably, after all, soon as the outer towers are gone you can charge in and wreak havoc - just hope they don't become too flimsy.

Agree on both.

To say the least, change worker function. It's really not worth the money if opposing team is coordinated.

For Example, If Bane has Scamp, they have vision of enemy everything except heroes; = you can SEE the worker and everything it's doing/repairing, so hey, what's Greel/Mago/Ebony...etc. going to do? Yeah.

Repairing vs a coordinated/good team doesn't work out well. If anyone disputes this: R.O.F.L.@ u.

One word: Heroes

P.S. - Tiger Props, to Dusk for sticking to this map all the way through, despite what people will say about ToB and Dusk's maps, Dusk's dedication (and if any of the communities then credit to them too) has been long lasting and the map doesn't seem to be dropped anytime soon.

We can only do our best to make the new AotZ kill out other bad maps (DotA/bad hero arenas, etc.).
