Progress Update

This is where all random discussion about AotZ goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

Meaning they'll be smart enough to head for the hills when Zhall/Arkhe are coming? :O

The way Dusk plays Zhall makes him look absolutely rigged.

Sometimes. Other times I just "Moo" and get slaughtered.

I didn't watch before, but, do Myriad's skeletons get armor/weapon upgrades by allied upgrades or some aspect of Myriad? And if they're by allied upgrade, how did you do it?

Based on his hero level.

I actually miss the spawn hero AI a lot. One of my favorite things about AotZ back in 1.00 was that spawn heroes were so much niftier than spawn towers in that they had their own sets of skills to bring to the table when beating back the onslaughts of would-be conquerers. That being said, what exactly do you think you can achieve with spawn hero AI while still maintaining the 6v6? I'd suggest going back to 5v5, but somehow I feel that a map that huge would seem just that - too huge - for a pitiful 5 on 5 skirmish.

Are you talking about Aot2 or Aot3?

Aot3's terrain is actually smaller than Aot2's, so the 6v6 will be more frantic. I do agree with the remarks about the hero AI, though. It's important to note that Aot2 actually supports the heroes casting spells, but they simply do not because they are neutral players now and not computer players. I was a noob in Aot2's development, which resulted in my not accounting for this and fixing their AI.

Do you think you'll take the time to include such an AI in Aot2's final release, or is that too big a project for the update?

It's, rather, not a big project, just one I daresay I don't care a lot about at this point in time.

Sounds perfectly fair to me.

There will be spawn hero AI in Aot3, right? If there are spawn heroes?
Can you hear them?

I can't believe that none has asked the most fundamental of questions; will it be fun?
If so, what?

That's because that kind of question is IMPOSSIBLE to answer unless WE play it ourselves.
That's like us asking you if Carnage will be fun. It doesn't work like that.

Let me rephrase then; what will make this map worth playing more than another? Say, the current aotz or doe?
