I heard that old versions of AotZ had some items for specific heros. I also heard they where ridiculously overpowered. Could someone please give some infromation on them and which versions the first appeared in?

That'd be in the 1.XX series. They were the legendary weapons that cost about 30ish faction and like 3k gold and were quite imba. It's the weapon shop up in the corners of the map where the igloos are, you can even discover their existence in the 2.XX series by going near one of the igloos to find Shop Arrow on top of your head.
Awesome thing though, they come back in 3.XX in a totally new form.

Well actually, it was quite common in most games that MANY people would have them. Also, they weren't all 30, depended on the hero. Like hero killers would be 30 but pushers would be less. People would pool hero's like scamp, KD, kharn, etc. who had game-changing items, and then with their new-found imbaness, they would make faction rather quickly. Also, hero kills gave 2 faction in those days.

Hero kills still give two faction in AotZ in whatever version. It's just harder to come by in the 1.XX series. lol

30 faction is not too hard to get actually, it's just most of the time you spend all your money on heroes so you never realize how much faction you actually get.

Yeah, I can accrue 30+ faction in most games. (Course I summon like four or five heroes on my own, so I end up with no gold and lots of faction.)
