Re: Anthem
I'd argue that.
How many lvl one skills cause conditions?
Just for the Bane. Anyone?

Re: Anthem
Well ...
Atrius: Crippling Strike, Sandstorm
Torne: Spirit nuke, Black Lantern
Malth: Voidstorm, Emberspark
Glasse: Arclight, Flare
Caliga: Oblivion Seal (adds 2 conditions)
Verte: Panic Aura
Skittel: Acid Ball, Webs
Vela: Rigor Mortis, Glaive (passive)
Exuro: Sin of Pride (causes maim)
Genobee: Bloodletter Swarm (causes bleed)
I think I might have missed a few, but that's just off the top of my head ... and that's a hell of a lot now I look at it! The only one I looked at and couldn't find a condition for was Anick (who doesn't need them anyway)!
By the way, does Caliga's Oblivion Seal cause Critical Strike? Because the lore says "pretty red numbers" but someone told me it's like ... x1.5 critical.
EDIT: Rikter: Whirlwind

Re: Anthem
Also, what sort of a cooldown would Elegy have?
And would the next-skill-reloads-instantly last indefinately? Because in that case, you could quite easily spam a spell three times, as long as you have the mana required. Unless there was some sort of a channel on Elegy (say 2 seconds).

I imagine 20 seconds or so.Also, what sort of a cooldown would Elegy have?
That is part of what makes it awesome. :pAnd would the next-skill-reloads-instantly last indefinately? Because in that case, you could quite easily spam a spell three times..

Re: Anthem
The cooldown seem a little short: if someone was foolish enough to stay there long enough for it to cooldown and for you to cast it a THIRD time, you could hit them ... 4 times with the line-damage, with the AoE in the middle. That's alot of damage. And the line-damage cripples too, which is painful.
Even without the Elegy though, you could get the line-damage off 3 times. Sounds like this guy would be one dangerous hero.

It sounds like you're planning on putting this guy into the game, even though you haven't exalt-e-fied him or accepted him. I'd love to see him in the game, he sounds like he'd be alot of fun to play and a good damage-dealer.Rising_Dusk wrote:That is part of what makes it awesome. :p

Re: Anthem
Another question:
Does the cripple on Stanza of Scorn add up if you cast it multiple times, or does it just reset it back to it's 2/3 cripple? Because a cripple could easily be made to last about 15-20 seconds on this guy, and that's only casting it once.
I was just wondering if all conditions in DoE add up, or if it just resets to it's original timer.

Depends if the skill extends or applies the condition.I was just wondering if all conditions in DoE add up, or if it just resets to it's original timer.

Thanks for the exalt.
I'll conjure up a story for him to flesh it out in due time.

Re: Anthem
What about if Echo provided cooldown on any spell he uses for the next X seconds?
Just putting it out there, I just feel that the ult only providing one insta reload of one spell doesn't seem entirely ultish and the spamming potential of the above suggestion is just brutal.

Re: Anthem
I think it seems perfect for an ultimate. The whole point of an ultimate is to facilitate or augment one's ability to do what it does best. Blank on Innert is, for example, perfectly ultish because it lets him go into rage/psycho/rawr mode and destroy everything. The requirement that you think about what skill you want to instantly reload is part of the cool factor.

Re: Anthem
Level 1 Skill:
Iamb of the Impossible
- Under Condition, Targeted Units (Chain Lightning Animation?)
Enemy units suffering from a condition have it extended by 2/3/4/5/6 seconds.
Allied units suffering from a condition have it reduced by 2/3/4/5/6 seconds.
I'm confused as to how these two would work together ... the "until they leave the area of effect" mute makes me think that it would apply mute for one second every second ... but with Iamb cast twice (via. Echo), the Mute could last 12 seconds. It just seems to be that ANY condition could be made into a major killer just by using Iamb. I love the spell, I'm just not sure how well it would go balance-wise. And if it extends all conditions, or just one condition (I'm not entirely sure what it's saying), would make it insanely powerful.Level 1 Skill:
Nocturne of Negation
- Target AoE;
Enemy units in the Area of Effect take 20/25/30/35/40 damage a second for 3/4/5/6/7 seconds(60,100,150,210,280)
Units in the Area of Effect are Muted until they leave the AoE.
Sorry for going on about this hero, I just find the amount of different strategies you could use really interesting. I love the idea of him, and I think he would be great to play in the game.
My original question was whether mute is applied once each second for a second (or extends mute by one second, in which case you could layer Nocturnes), or if it has a special coding or something of it's own.
