Story.

Level 1 Skill:
Engulf

• Target unit is shrouded in darkness, it has -X (High) armor and all conditions it suffers from last Y% (I'm thinking 50/75/100/125/150) longer.

Level 1 Skill:
Black Hole Sun

• Target Point Ward. While <Insert name here> is within X of the ward, he is unbreakably invisible. Lasts 12 seconds. [Low cooldown, spammy, easy to kill ward]

Level 1 Skill:
Darkwake

• After 4 seconds, a radiating wave of dark energy expands from where the spell was cast, dealing X (low) damage and blinding struck foes for Y (low) seconds. [Spammy again, I'd like to see 2 of these cast before the first one blasts]

Level 6 Ultimate:
Penumbra

• Active. A beam of darkness descends upon the battlefield, seeking out and following the closest living, non-creep unit to itself, dealing X damage per second and extending burn on struck foes by 3 seconds per second. Lasts 30 seconds. [30ish second cooldown]

Feel free to discuss his design or whatever you want here, as the winning hero he is now accepted. I'm not actually going to move around the other suggestions, but know that if a hero was rated at a B- or above it would go into exalted, the rest would need a bit of work (Hero depending) and would go into normal hero suggestions.

If you hate the name, why not change it? Or are you planning to? My only gripe is the first spell applies a non-condition to enemies when ruin will do. The only reason I can see is so that you can have it get more powerful as it levels, but you could probably just make levels of ruin used specifically for Canus, unless there's some coding problem with this. I can't see any other reason, but I could be missing something.

But he doesn't have a spell the applied ruin, I'm assuming you mean stacking with other heroes. But if so, why don't you make more conditions stack?

Too bad he's not able to cripple, that would fit really well to his spells.

Maybe increase the duration of Penumbra with every level? Kinda like Gash, so that the duration and cooldown are the same at level 3.

I actually feel that he will be so much funner as a result of not having a cripple. This way he's phenomenally powerful as-is, but if you can team up with someone who can cripple you're hyper devastating. I like that being awesome alone, insane in a team thing.

Just a suggestion:

Engulf

What if the armor reduction would go like this? For example: -6/-7/-8/-9/Ruin; or -2/-4/-6/-8/Ruin. You gain a significant level boost on the last level. Makes me want to level it.

Why can't it just be -2/-4/-6/-8/-10 and stack with ruin at all levels?

I really like this template, a lot of fiddling and playing with other heroes, he can sound pretty fun to play with. I only have a question, though; why the wait on Darkwake?

As for a name suggestion, I'd go with something like Otherin, or maybe Cerruska. Those two appealed to me while reading the description, maybe it can inspire you.
