Dagurnott
Re: Dagurnott
I find Dag to be just fine. He's not that hard to deal with from what I have seen.
Re: Dagurnott
...it's what he's supposed to do? Plus all those heroes' ults cause conditions. He's really not too bad as long as you're smart about him.Flameboy wrote:And overpowered

Re: Dagurnott
The kd for Dag isn't long enough to help, and you are kd`ed more often anyway, too the point where you can't do anything.

What Tempest means to say is that spiking Dagurnott is the best way to take him down.

Re: Dagurnott
I also find that it's often more useful to just HIT him, than to poke conditions at him. If you throw anything but Blind/Maim/Cripple, he can throw it right back at you fairly easily. AND he will have -dmg while under it. Rose's ultimate is happy-time for him, it's 45 seconds in which he takes 20% less physical damage. Hell, if I had a choice with Dag, I'd constantly have Burn and Bleed and Ruin on him, simply because that's -60/85% physical damage from enemies. And with surprisingly few items, he can outregen the bleed/burn damage, especially if he gets Carapace.
While I realize this happens VERY rarely, a Whitewater/Rites/Sanc/Carapace/Dragonscale/Flamebrand Dag is pretty much unkillable. Has permanent -65% physical damage, then -12 damage from that, and gains 30 health every time he attacks, plus from conditions near him... The bleed/burn deal only about 15 dps, which is NOTHING compared to his regen at the level he'd get all this. It's great fun.

Re: Dagurnott
I'm wondering how a Dagurnott can even obtain all of this faction and still be considered a tank.

Re: Dagurnott
Remember that faction comes from being near destroyed structures too. It's very easy for a tank character like Dagurnott to support a siege and earn a buttload of faction. You can also be pooled for what it's worth. Also, Shockwave is a pretty devastating assist skill for killing heroes.

Re: Dagurnott
Yeah, but are you really going to have that many kills/assists when sieging? A side-base is only worth 7 faction, if you're getting all the faction from each building atleast. I can count maybe 30-ish buildings where you can get faction, and in reality, you aren't going to be every where + get hero kills/assists.

Re: Dagurnott
Shockwave and then let creeps kill the kd`ed heroes xD.
And "ALL ENEMIES MUST DIE!" on a tower = GG during a push.

Or shockwave, and then Enemies Must Die on the knockdowned heroes.

Re: Dagurnott
Exactly. I've also found the "Enemies Must Die!" is a good harassment skill at early levels, because it forces the enemy hero to go back to heal or to exhaust their potions.
