Anima, Parhelios

This is where all bug reports or hero complaints regarding DoE should be made. Whether you have an issue with balance or an exploit to shed light on, this is the place to put it.

Anima, Parhelios

Post by SetaSoujirou » Sat Jun 21, 2008 4:06 am

After playing three games of him, I think his first two skills need a buff. Slicer, 50 DPS, but if you're enemies are decent, they easily dodge it. And bolt, 200 damage is decent I suppose, but he can't really do anything with that in my experience, although it is nice combined with blood mana. His redeeming qualities to me are his limitless mana, and his ultimate, but you can't really do too much with a 120 second cooldown.

I think you can't just say "loldamage" and think that's all a spell's good for. I played a game through with Parhelios and absolutely love the guy and think his skills deal the perfect amount of damage already. He doesn't deal a lot of damage, I agree, but he has a perpetual damage capability, and if you play Bolt/Blood Mana right you will never be at a loss for mana regardless of the ult's application.

His spells are really spammy, also. I was throwing Slicers onto Tristan as he was wisping around and he managed to choppy choppy quite a few heroes in the process. I was very pleased overall with his damage output, not too high, but good enough depending on how often I cast my shiza.

In one of the games I played today, we basically s*cked against a Parhelios + Sozen Combo.

Parhelios casted Slicer on Sozen, who then casted Mirage.
With the new 75% evasion of Mirage, Sozen and Parhelios managed to kill me and another teammate of mine, and even staying alive after.

Look at the conditions Slicer and Bolt apply so readily and their cooldowns first, though! Maim and blind are both devastating to a LOT of the heroes on the Bane, it's exactly what the Order's been needing for a good long while. Heavenfall's AoE mute is just icing on the cake.

He's like... A support hero that can wreck all sorts of havoc on you and your buddies on a whim. Kinda sorta.

Just played a game with a good Parhelios. He's just fine in his current state.

I just thought that I'd throw in the fact that he has constant mute. Which, pretty much, rapes you.

Parhelios doesn't have constant mute any more than tornne has constant cripple or atrius has constant invisibility. Being chased down by heavenfall is akin to getting hit by stormbolt when glyph has tempest activated, or standing next to a base when vela is in the middle of all the towers and creeps, then getting transversal'd. I would expect you have learned by now that heroes in DoE are capable of raping you

parahelios is kinda on the same ground as glasse to me, while glasse excells at defensive support parphelios excells at offensive. that said i realy think the hero is fairly weak on his own, and his self ruining can realy mess himself up against some heros. coincidentaly i havnt even played him yet in a real game, this is just from experience and watching other players play him. Id say a buff to damage might be in order but that may go against dusk's design since now both sides have a heavy support hero
