Parhelios' Bounce
Parhelios' new bouncing attack's supposed to be physical, right?
Well, if you buy the item which applies Ruin on magickal damage, your initial attack and bouncing attack Ruins.

I know, it's awesome isn't it? Imperfection also works on his attacks.

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
His attack card states he deals physical damage. Is he dealing physical damage and 0 magickal damage, or what?

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
Nah, but apparently the damage detection system variant I use makes an exception for bouncing attacks. I really should update the one in DoE to the newest version, but that requires a lot of backward compatibility fixes I'm not sure I'm motivated to do. I might just make his attack magickal, it's kind of cool having different heroes have different attack types. (Makes sense too)

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
This could actually be really cool, come to think of it. Imagine if there was a distinction between magickal and physical attacks, not just spells... Hrrrmmm... I like that. A lot.

Uh. Ruin bolt is by-far the most imba item to get with Parhelios.

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
Meh. A ruin every 6-8 seconds if it connects that lasts 4 seconds isn't very great alone. Slicer takes at least 2 seconds to target + travel, probably not hitting the target if the enemy is remotely intelligent.

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
Slicer doesn't trigger HoR, Seta. Anyways, HoR isn't bad with him because he can trigger it perpetually with Heavenfall and then use slicer around himself for significant damage output. It works, I've played him enough and seen it enough, though it's by no means the only way he works.
I discovered it, as seen from my first post in this thread, long before anyone brought it up here. I thought it was pretty awesome, though, and didn't really consider it a bug.SetaSoujirou wrote:Wasn't scizz the one to discover it, or did he just tell me?

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
I was referring to bolt setting up a ruin/slicer and meh, you need more speed in order to heavenfall + slicer. And I was referring to the one who posted it, and the one who told me.

Re: Parhelios' Bounce
He's got the base MS setup to achieve the sort of speeds you suggest. And with blind at his disposal, he can still keep relatively safe even at close ranges. (Just watch those towers!)
