Refraction
400, 500, 600 radius? Pretty weak. =/

Re: Refraction
Maybe you would like me to do the math and tell you the % increase in area each level gives, so as to assuage your concerns.

I see what you're doing here. I am not fooled!
Improve it though, please. Rank 2 isn't worth getting and the only reason anyone gets Rank 3 is because there's nothing else to spend points in at level 18. I personally refuse to spend that last point out of spite.

Re: Refraction
...Maybe just have Refraction give something like 50/75/100% physical evasion? It's a lot stronger in many ways, and weaker in others, but it might work.

Evasion is useless when you're unbreakable invisible.VZManticoran wrote:...Maybe just have Refraction give something like 50/75/100% physical evasion? It's a lot stronger in many ways, and weaker in others, but it might work.
I have a theory as to why small radii are better than large ones.
With large radii, you can hide more units. This, however causes more units to attack YOU. With small radii, you can hide fewer units, but you still have allies around you to take the hits for you.
An idea though; have either: Refraction's mana cost halved, or have Refraction's area of effect increased by 200 when he is suffering from a condition, just to work in conditions a little more.
Math is # |e^iπ|

I could've sworn it was 200/350/500, but that might've been old or something. I'll see what I can do, I guess, though making it huge at max level is probably not the best approach.Merlin wrote:Improve it though, please. Re: Refraction
Refraction is pretty cool as is, I mean, I have seen people rape the crap out of people with just one other hero (Atrius and Glasse is pretty ridiculous lol.)

Re: Refraction
Please. It is easily one of the better ultimates, if used properly. It doesn't need any changes from my viewpoint.

Re: Refraction
I agree, it's an excellent ultimate. What bothers me though is that ranks 2 and 3 are hardly better than rank 1.

Re: Refraction
erm, I've got a suggestion:
Maybe at level 2 or 3, units under Refraction suffering from conditions become unbreakably invisible.
Of course, it'd require some balancing, but a walking Black Hole Sun anyone?
EDIT: whoops, all units affected by Glasse's Ult are unbreakably invisible anyway aren't they? Guess I'm behind the times here, my bad

Re: Refraction
Maybe for every Bane unit suffering from a condition under Refraction, Glasse gets +1/+2/+3 to Agility, or Intelligence?
Read my prose please .

Re: Refraction
Of course that theoretically can do something, you aren't gonna be in the front tanking all of the creeps/towers/heroes just to get those stat bonuses. (He can barely apply AoE conditions himself anyway)

Re: Refraction
The skill benefits the most from bonus range and mana cost reduction. However, it is unwise to make it cost a lot of mana at L1 and then decrease it later, since mana scales positively to level. (You'd have too little to use it at L6 and too much mana to turn it off at L18) Thus, range was the only factor I upgraded.

Re: Refraction
You could always do something like having it give him +1/2/3 armor per unit effected.

Tacked on effects are not acceptable.
