I end up playing 1v1's a lot and a general rule we play with is buying of creeps only in the middle lanes... Its almost impossible ending the game though, since the trebs decimate ANYTHING you can throw at the middle, and with a single hero you just dont have the pushing power to bring down the defence since even a standard wave (without hired mercenaries) can hold the line (unless your someone with Uber AoE like AK or Geno >_<) until the enemy hero's tiny revive time is through.

If the revive time was increased a bit for every player missing on your team from a full 6 (assuming both teams have equal numbers)...
Would that help the situation? Should I just play with all the lanes and end up playing 10 minute long games? :?

Advice please :(

Here's an idea, stop playing 1v1s. I'm sure Dusk had some reason to make a possible 6v6 game. 1v1s are so dull, because if someone is an idiot, the game is over, and being restricted to sending mid is silly, if you don't notice other lanes, there's no one to blame but you.

If you want to do 1v1 and restrict yourselves to no outside lanes, why don't you activate all middle? In 1.09c, I may end up removing trebs in all middle or something, I don't know, they do sort of stunt the game.

Ahhh, thanks, that'd solve everything :D

There isnt really much way to get more than 1v1 though, the people here are retarded and if the game isnt dota they leave... When I had wc3 on my comp at home I tried enlightening them, but now my time is really limited, so I'm not going to waste it on idiots >_>

Thread Revival!

I got an idea about the barracks.

There's a problem about hiring units when there's 4 units hired, right?

So, can't you just "disable" barracks if there are 4 units hired? Make it faded out or something....

That'd look pretty bad and be confusing. Good idea, though.

On another note: Dusk, are we getting another version of DoE soon, or is it on hold until OD, ToB, and 3.00 have seen some work?

Make it faded out or something....
I mean the "unit hire area" become faded, not the barrack. Otherwise that'd confuse a hell lot of people.

I think he means making icons inactive/disabled, nubs ;P (like when your hero is silenced)

It's also not possible with WC3 to do that for units hired like that from a base. I've fought with that UI so much, you've no idea.
