DoE Quotes

I say we should come up with clever lines for the heroes in DoE.

There was a thread in our old forums like this, but why it wasn't continued is beyond my understanding. I say we start it up again! http://valorz.3.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=3471 <-- topic in old forums. However, make sure they fit with the character they're for.

I think Dusk said it's too much effort to put in and he wouldn't like it in DoE. But well, let's see what he says himself.

In my, personal opinion, I think it brings nothing to the game, nor is cool enough to introduce it just for the flash.

Dusk said that all purpose that "taunts" do was to waste the memory, blocks the screen and nothing else but to make a few people who enjoys lore happy.

So yeah, very unlikely. But I personally would like a kill-taunt myself .


Instead of the original kill spree messages, let's say...if we pwned with Arro...

<Player> is on a 5 kill spree! Keep Burning!
<Player> is on a 15 kill spree! Is there any more fodders that want to burn?
<Player> is on a 24 kill spree! I'm so awesome that I'm on fire. Literally!

(Beside...it'd provide me more stuff to put in my wiki...hmmm...)

In my, personal opinion, I think it brings nothing to the game, nor is cool enough to introduce it just for the flash.

It's not about bringing flash. It's about bringing a new level to the map and characters; having them actually say something gives them a personality in addition to their overwhelming coolness.

I'm pretty sure Dusk said earlier on this exact subject that he doesn't want to do the whole character quotes thing for DoE.

The ones for AotZ were interesting, and I really connected with those heroes (and even the troops).

Of course, it IS all up to Dusk.

But my vote goes for quotes (eventually)
