Tristan, v1.09

This is where all random discussion about DoE goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

Yeah, same here. He looks pretty badass, except his face looks really worn and a bit piggish. I guess he's old, but his skin still looks like plastic and a bit overly bulgy.

Overall, awesome, though.

It's the face that I like the most, it's stylized to fit the role. He doesn't look old, he looks ageless, as if time itself has forgotten of the man's very existence. And the eyes, those eyes that pierce through everything their baleful gaze falls upon. Maybe I'm the only one that really appreciates and likes the face, but this is so perfect for my vision of him you have no idea.

Fair enough. I don't like it that much, but unlike most other people (or everyone; I haven't been in the channel lately, so I wouldn't know if you've said anything about him, or not) you know the hero's character, so if it fits, then it fits.

Now that you mention it, though, the eyes are brilliant.

Now we have...walking death knights and horse-riding paladin in 1.09.

Good job!

Read the first post. And gao, he's not a death knight, not in the least.

Aww, man. He has white hair and a sword, that qualifies for a death knight! J/K

Now that I mentioned the sword, it looks pretty badass! XD

If he's not a death knight, then what is he? I figured he was more of a demon-hunter type character – using darkness to fight darkness and such.

Then I'd imagine that the middle ages were chalk-full of death knights.

Yeah, we have like absolutely no idea about this hero. (- -')

I can't think that he's a dark-counterpart to Victor, because that is too cliche'.

I lol'd. But right now they're dead knights.

Can I get my cookie?

I like him, although the face might look a little bit like plastic, in my opinion as well. The eyes are great though, they fit the role perfectly.

Guess I forgot which topic I was posting in -- It should be obvious by style that this is AR's work, though he's in the first post now too. :p

Not quite a demon hunter styled hero either, he's the guy that eventually founded the Arbiter Caste, which by the time of AotZ had defected mostly to the Bane. (As you can tell by the arbiters of the bane as AotZ hireables) Not to say that he defects, because he doesn't, but he's all about communicating a power through darkness that allows feats otherwise unknown to people. Just wait for his story to find out more. He's also on the Hallowed Order remember, so he is a far cry from an 'evil Victor'. Shit, he's not evil at all, he just takes a far more removed approach to fighting -- As will be entirely apparent by how he plays in-game.

How does his face look plastic? I don't see it at all, and I've seen some seriously plastic faces before.

Props to AR yet again.

I know that he's in Hallowed Order, pwning banenites with the Dark Sword of his XD.

As in; he isn't evil but uses the power of darkness? Just like Glasse uses the power of light? (Not the same way, but you get my point.)
