I don't like doe that when the top or bottom is down, there must be a hero to guard that lane.

Because when the barrack is gone, there is no creep, which made it hard to counterattack.

Unlike DotA that has some creeps out, even if it's weak, but it allowed countering.

(A complaint from a player that has to go to that position so frequently that he begins to feel bored)

The problem is: Barracks in DoE is easier to destroy compared to DotA.

We should defend the base and prevent it from being destroyed by the other team. Also, when towers got attacked, they can be repaired by workers.

There are some heroes that can fight the waves even after the barrack is gone.

Destroying barracks make the other team have increased chance to win, not making them win.

And in DoE, the map supports moving between many lanes, not staying on one late.


Nobody has to guard the top and bottom, but when we play, we like to rape top or bottom first.

To defend a late, sometimes you don't have to get someone to defend there, sometimes, buying creeps will get the job done. (unless against heavy pusher like Arro Kree or Maltheron)

I'll get the replay that both barracks of both teams got destroyed.

Someone whom has not played with us before started this thread in the DotA sub-forum. In 24 hours, it gathered nearly 300 replies and about half as many votes.

Dota - 85 (51.5%)
DoE - 40 (24.2%)
[uncertain] - 19 (11.5%)
anime fight ! - 7 (4.2%)
Element TD ! - 14 (8.5%)

The thread was eventually moved into the Custom Maps sub-forum by a moderator, and the replies have mostly ceased. Not bad for a DotA forum, if I do say so myself. I think the point this makes, though, is that DoE is beginning to take off on this private server.
