Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
Crippling Strike deals physical damage. That means it's reduced by armor or deals bonus (!!!) damage when they're ruined.

No, sandstorm deals physical damage too. That's part of how Atrius works.

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
You might want to say if a spell does physical or magical damage then. Because, while the fact that WWE and maybe Crippling Strike deal physical damage is fairly intuitive, I would assume that Sandstorm does magic just by looking at it.
So yeah, bottom line: maybe tell people if it does physical or magical.

So far as I can tell, Order has the majority of spell damage abilities and the Bane has the majority of physical damage abilities.
I think this is due in part to Caliga's ethereal making him immune to physical damage...But I can't say for sure.

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
It's actually a result of intrinsic race differences, really.
I really want to do that, but the problem becomes tooltip length. I was considering replacing the "Targets" field with the "Damage Type" field. It's pretty important to know which skill does what, I fully agree. Tell me your thoughts on this. You might want to say if a spell does physical or magical damage then.

I think no more lines has to be added Dusk.
Instead of using "Deals X damage", you just change all of it to "Deals X Physical/Magical Damage"
It'll take time, though. There must be 104 ((4 skill per heroes) x (26 Heroes)) skills that needs to be updated.

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
Well you see, if that would have worked, people would have known already that Sandstorm dealt physical damage. Bet you didn't realize it already lists in the tooltip that it does.
Sandstorm wrote:Atrius summons a powerful sandstorm over the target area, dealing physical damage and blinding enemies for 2 seconds every second.
Lasts 9 seconds.
Multiply that number by roughly 5, since each skill has either 4 fields where it would need to be updated or 6, so average at 5.There must be 104 ((4 skill per heroes) x (26 Heroes)) skills that needs to be updated.

Well, the way I see it, there are two ways you could do it:
1) The way you mentioned earlier, which is adding another field at the top of the tooltip. I guess the advantage of this is that it's clear, but it make the tooltips longer.
2) Just adding the word physical or magical in front of the damage (e.x. Atrius strikes the target for 60 physical damage; or something like that). This is shorter, but less clear. However, I see that you've already tried this and it didn't work, so I guess that this won't really work.
Personally, I'm partial to option 1, but I don't know how much longer you're willing to make it without it causing problems. Then again, I never actually read the "targets" field, since for most spells it's fairly obvious who it can target. So yeah, replacing the targets field is probably the best option, in my opinion.

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
520 skill tooltips to update is a shitton of a list of things to update, honestly. Granted, not all skills deal damage, which lightens the load a lot. Still though, that'll take like an entire day of just tooltip updating... Ugh.

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
Burn and Bleed do magic damage, right? Or do they just do straight, irreducible damage?

Re: Item Suggestions v1.09
Hrm, are you sure? Because I seem to remember going ethereal as Caliga stopped bleed from damaging me...
Maybe this was a mistake on my part though.
