v1.11b Discussion
Re: v1.11 Discussion
I think there were some good ideas, but the implementation was overkill. A good example being Dis' new heartburn/spitfire combo; one of the things about the old Dis that was so cool was that he was a hero that demanded ridiculous aggression and epicness. While some aspects of the change are nice, it needs some balancing. Now, in addition to being able to totally destroy any group of enemies, Dis can siege more effectively than most heroes without taking half the risk that they do.
I also have a thing against stun-inflicting items, but that's just me.
The changes are cool but they do need some negative adjustment to account for the positive. Which is OK I guess, because you can never expect huge modifications in content to arrive smoothly or not in need of balancing.

Re: v1.11 Discussion
Items aside, as my view on them is skewed anyway, Dis is my only 'Raise your hand if you see a problem.'
The ability to sit at a fountain and produce upwards of 20 minions that deal catastrophic damage makes Dis quite able to hold off a siege by anyone, for any amount of time. If I recall it took three of us in conjunction and Dis coming out from behind the walls for us to get passed that obstacle. A person with no respect whatsoever to playing the game could sit there and hold off a team of six simply by clogging the lane. It reminds me of Khazarch back in the day when he had his custom weapon and the Blood Fang. He could charge the main base alone, walk in, and stay there for the entire game soaking up more life than all the towers and heroes combined could cause damage.
Tristan has always been annoying, the unbreakable invisibility does make him the ultimate killing machine, but you have to compare how WTF AWESOME Glasse's ult is in comparison. Tristan can hide himself. Glasse can hide a push with five other heroes in it and no-one would know until they were a smear on someones shoes. (Yeah yeah....Optic Amulet...don't get me started...)

Re: v1.11 Discussion
I recognize that Dis is imbalanced. It's okay, I was tired of him being "a fun hero, but ultimately useless" and wanted a good laugh. Ha ha. Okay, I'm going to nerf the damage his ult deals. 60/90/120 per dude is too much, I was thinking more along the lines of 30/45/60. I'm also going to nerf their life a substantial amount so ranged heroes can eliminate them easier. Finally, I'm going to hit their movement speed down to 330 instead of 360. This makes them move as fast as Dis, which I think is fair.
Previously, his elementals were negligible. They were just meat and were easily ignored by any and all heroes, even casters. Their exploding was a necessary shift to bring him closer to where he should be in terms of pace with the rest of the game.
I still don't know what the hell is wrong with Skittel's Miasma. I have been testing it thoroughly and it is counting as 'penetrating' damage in single player and is only inflicting ruin once per second (not ten times per second). The bug right now is utterly unknown. It's scary, I am well aware.

Also, if you use the -rm command, unit spawns don't reset so you can have a potential wtfpush at start.

I think the change log is just wrong. I'm pretty sure I made it five.Scarlet wrote:This is bugged. They're giving out five instead of three.

I think Tunnel might have to high of A range but I've not tried it or had to fight against it yet.

Hi! ^^
Was the Philisopher's Stone made after my suggestion of a replacement for Optic Amulet? (Many long ages ago.)

Re: v1.11 Discussion
...Reaver? Reaver of the Administorum?
And yay, Dis gets a buff. Those elementals, even before they exploded, were awesome for sieges. Dis could level several towers in a single push if he spams Heartburn. I don't know about phoenix stone, but it seems to help, but I remember something about him needing to be burning.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what you're talking about. I always wanted a Spell Shield for conditions, and only just recently had the item slot to fill and the savvy to figure out how to code it.Soul_Reaver wrote:Was the Philisopher's Stone made after my suggestion of a replacement for Optic Amulet? Why is blind the only condition that is completely negated?

Re: v1.11 Discussion
Then I was confused, our ideas are completely the same though, I even had the 10 second cooldown.
No, I'm not Reaver from the Administorium, although I'm a huge fan of his work.
My name, unlike his, originates from the Soul Reaver game. (Legacy of Kain)
