Skills Guide

This is where all random discussion about DoE goes. If it doesn't feel like it fits anywhere else but is still related to the map, this is the place to post it.

Skills Guide

Post by assassingao » Sun Jul 06, 2008 2:05 am

Yeah, I used to make one set of skill guide for DoE 1.08b.

Now, I'm totally remaking the guide.

What I've done so far...

Very nice, although that's a lot of work for something you'll need to update every few months.

It's still going to be a lot of work keeping them up to date. Also don't use my name on message boards, please.

Well...if it's not for the wiki, where else could it be?

Also, forgive me if I ruined something up :P

P.S. I might even had to ask Dusk for the quotes of each hero, like Dag, Skittel, Atrius... Well, about anything else he hadn't put on the web.

Assassingao for president <3. Refer to this as 'volunteer work' when you want a job.

This seems completely unnecessary, you can learn much more by just playing a game.

You can't convince people to play a game of DoE, an image is easier.

And sometimes, when you wanted to explain something, it's too hard to do in text or even in-game, such as Tornne's epidemic.

If the person who wants to use the spell correctly doesn't want to play a game of DoE, why would you bother teaching them how to use a spell? Besides, I find the spells extremely simple, how you apply them is how it gets complicated. (The guide does not tell you how to properly use them just how they work). I also think most people would want to know how spells work in-game.

I unfortunatly have to agree.
If you'd write a guide or something giving strategies to read the hero...but explaining the spell is a waste of time Imo

And the Thai or whatever just makes it look ugly if you want my opinion
