It's funny how it's so much worse than the wc3 editor atm.

I couldn't have said better. I spent 10 minutes on it and I was exhausted at how much stupid I saw.Fledermaus wrote:It's funny how it's so much worse than the wc3 editor atm.

And how so much object data is lacking. You can't even change the twinking mineral cost of a unit.

Didn't they say it will be a limited version? I can't imagine being not able to do what you just said.Fledermaus wrote:And how so much object data is lacking. You can't even change the twinking mineral cost of a unit.
Re: I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING.
That's intriguing. Let me look into that. The cost may actually be on the production building itself. It's so weird, we're just so used to wc3's though. SC2 seems way more detailed / deep though, and will take me moer than 15 minutes I took when I was 12 years old figuring out what all of the fields do.Fledermaus wrote:And how so much object data is lacking. Sure you can. Look under Repair resource.Fledermaus wrote:You can't even change the twinking mineral cost of a unit.

Re: I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING.
That's the cost to repair it. I found it eventually, it's in the build pylon ability. Shit is weird.
Re: I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING.
Well that is what I've heard. I've tested stuff and the cost is independent from the unit cost (usually some ability like train or build determines it). Would be nice if it defaulted to repair cost though.

Not all is lost though, as apparently someone already made a Tohou (albeit, no battle arena yet...)

And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

The editor seems decent, but we just don't know how much we can do yet. Once coding comes in that may help. I'll try my hand at terraining a melee map soonish.
