Not like anyone bothers with the expansions except people that make me go lul-wut anyway.

New Battlenet
I signed up for my account just now, and so far as I can tell, there's not really any attempt to steal your money. In fact, I'm rather impressed by some of what they've got (well, ok, one feature, but there's only two or three things it can do at all right now, so that's not bad) which is once you upload your CD-Key for any old blizzard game, it sets it up so that you can download that game for free at any time, at any computer. Sure it's basically just Steam, but that's definitely a step in the right direction.
Long story short: I don't think there's any reason to fear.

And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

Hooray. Eventually, all you'll do when you buy a game is get a little piece of paper telling you a CD key.

That would be nice, actually, except for the fact that we might lose it, but really, that would be so convenient.

Not any different from losing a CD.
Let's do what comes naturally
I'll be waiting in Haven.

Already got my CD-keys there. Funny thing is, I can register it as any language version. I could have a Russian WC3, if I wanted, lulz.

How the heck am I supposed to confirm my e-mail adress, if I can't press Ctrl+V to write an '@'?

Loki, losing the CD means nothing as long as you can download another version and install it with your CD key that should be written in several places, right?

Oh, I have to change my keyboard into english setup first.
Normally Shift+2 writes " and Ctrl+V writes @ on my one, but this way it works fine.
Thanks, Dusk.

Steam-like Battle.Net with game downloads anytime as long as you log your CDKey with them.
What, do you do searches with "Steam" as the keyword?
