Re: Favorite Band?
Or it ultimately proves my belief that metal is overrated and completely fits the word "metal". And of course, blatant yelling.

Led Zeppelin, Queen and Def Leppard IMO. I'm going to see a Def Leppard/Styx/REO Speedwagon concert on April 18th. It's gonna be awesome.

The only band that I really listen to in large quantities is Muse. Other then that, I tend to have a few songs from this group or that.

Re: Favorite Band?
Music is amazing to me. I love almost every kind except a lot of male country singers. A different type of music for a different mood.
Anyways: I tend to listen to Muse, Reel Big Fish, and Enya when playing games...just a fad I picked up a few months ago.

Proof that crowds don't know what's good. Like with DotA ^^Steve wrote:Proof that metal owns.
Recently, I'm crazy about Irish/Scottish/Welsh music. My favourites are:
David Arkenstone, "Spirit of Ireland" CD. "avalon. a celtic legend" and "music inspired by middle earth" are also nice, but "SoF" is the best ^^
Pied Pipers, "Scottish and Irish Music" CD, too bad they relased only one, in 1992
Carreg Lafar, "Hyn: Traditional Celtic Music of Wales" CD.
Loreena McKennitt, a mix from different albums. She's from Canada, but she sings celtic-style.
From other genres:
Freestylers- precursors of breakbit. Mainly their first album, "We Rock Hard".
"Man on Fire" soundtrack.
"Gladiator" soundtrack.
Louis Armstrong generally.
Some songs from Katie Melua, 3 in fact- "9 million bicylces", "Closest thing to crazy" and "If you were a sailboat".
Mafia K'1 Fry- French rap. Especially one song, "Pour Ceux"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HOB27DLEVM
DMX- his voice owns. Fav songs- "No Sunshine", "What These biscuits Want", several songs from "The Great Depression" album- "Who We Be", "School Street" and few more.
And random songs from random bands/films/musicians...

Re: Favorite Band?
No-word was obviously a reference to Ixian technology. These words can't be heard unless you're the one speaking them. Celtic instrumental is always nice, plays at my house pretty often.
Read my prose please .

Re: Favorite Band?
That's not to say I don't like JUST metal, andri. A list of some of my other favored artists (or bands):
Eazy-E
One Blood Megamix (since there's a LOT of artists on it)
Nobuo Uematsu (>_>...)
Rage Against the Machine
Kamelot
Tool
Nirvana
Butthole Surfers.
It's diverse! Sorta. I can enjoy anything that has a good orchestral sound to it, generally, too.

The enemy are in disarray, ride them down as they run
Send them to their violent graves, don't spare anyone
Dead and wounded lie all around, see the pain in their eyes
Over the field an eerie sound, as we hear the raven's cry

Re: Favorite Band?
My favorite is definately Guns 'N Roses. After that, probably Poison, Iron Maiden, David Matthews Band, AFI, and of course, The Rolling Stones.
Favorite G 'N R song: Rocket Queen. After that, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine, and Mr. Brownstone.
