Being a vegetarian for pragmatic reasons is not the rule which the person follows, but rather a incident of following their prime directive. The distinct difference between this and a more aesthetic implementation of a vegetarian diet is that the former is a tool which a rational person utilizes to survive, while the latter is subversive routine a person follows.
If somebody says that they are a vegetarian, they may be making a 'fuzzy' statement for your benefit. It is incorrect to assume that a person who views their diet as an end will create the same set of restrictions as somebody who views it as a means. This is the difference between becoming unhealthy as the result of not prioritizing their health or by tactical mistake. The same arguments will not apply to both types. or educate them both with equal effectiveness.

Re: Lesson to Vegetarians
If this girl decided to die to hold on to her beliefs you would still be laughing about how stupid she was to give up her life when she could have been saved. Well, most of you, I assume.

Death is serious business, bro. The best thing to do would be to not put yourself into embarassing situations such as this by having stup-- irrational initial beliefs such as saving animals though vegetarianism. Proactive vs. reactive.Soul_Reaver wrote:If this girl decided to die to hold on to her beliefs you would still be laughing about how stupid she was to give up her life when she could have been saved.
