Razor fell, fragments of the meteor dancing down alongside him. Unfurling his wings, he felt a renewed burst of pain, the once comfortable machinery attaching them to his body oozed deep, red blood as he plummeted.
Half open eyes saw the sandstorm fast approaching, but putting strain upon his wings threatened to rip them right off. He was falling, fast and hard, and there was nothing he could do about it.
Shear watched from atop the Pokemon Center, shielded by walls of ice. He saw as his friend fought valiantly, giving and receiving punishment on a colossal scale.
He was likely the first to spot Razor as he dropped out of the clouds above, the Skarmory and sandstorm threatening his now fragile existence. It would be up to him to save his friend now, as they had done one for another since the day they met.
He had been working on a rain dance to clear the skies, but his friend's peril drove his ritual into overdrive, the clouds letting out a fresh torrent of rain, pressing against the still weakening sandstorm. For the first time since the battle began, the air began to feel clean, the grit began to taper.
SHEAR USED HYDRO PUMP!
As Razor's meteoric fall brought him closer to the ground, a column of water caught him, braking his fall to the point where he was set down as gently as an infant.
Razor's eyes peaked open, feeling ground beneath his feet once again. He smiled a bloody smile, nodding to his friend.
The two entered into the building, taking shelter from the storm. No longer driven, the torrent collapsed and the storm quickly razed the frozen pillar.
Resting himself on a pile of shredded mattresses, Razor closed his eyes, while Shear inspected both his wounds and checked his equipment for damages.
RAZOR USED ROOST!
Razor restored 50% of its health!
Razor is resting peacefully
Lapras looked up from his sleeping ally, hearing the distinct cry of Skarmory clawing at his Icy barricades. His rain dance had alerted them, and it wouldn't be long before they found their way in. Razor was out cold, likely not to awaken for some time, with his injuries. Shear would have to mount some defense, or die trying.
