Let's play a game. If you win, you might just get some representation in DoE!

Hero Contest #4 - Discussion

Post by Rising_Dusk » Fri Dec 04, 2009 12:28 am

For all of your hero discussion needs. I will read and reply in this thread, so please try to keep entry-specific discussion out of it and in the respective submission thread.

In this case, your hero doesn't actually get added into the map; it replaces a hero already in the map, Innert.
Lazy you were, Dusk.

Not lazy, rather not omniscient.

6 days left, all! I'm also surprised by the serious lack of discussion here.

Cause I don't play alot of DoE so can I get like a simple sentence or something about Caliga's playstyle/theme?
I don't want to get disqualified for not keeping the playstyle/theme.

He's a single target hero killer bent on movement speed and/or stealth and singling enemies out from the crowd before shredding them to tiny bits.

So what were Caliga's problems that led to this contest? His rightclickness?

Lack of condition interaction... and imbawtfness ofc.

If you can't identify that yourself, I'm not sure if you're in any place to fix it. :p
Or just read the thing Cool linked.

No one is in the place to fix it, save you. I remember you and other chatting he was both too easy and too hard to use, which left me a little bit confused.

This contest wouldn't exist if I knew how to do it perfectly myself. The whole point is for you to suggest it so I can code-monkey-make it.

Confusing? Sounds about right. Anyways, I really don't feel like typing a lot to describe his faults. Suffice to say that if you make a hero that passes the questions I posed in the rules, it'll fix the problems.

I always thought these contest and suggestions overall, are meant to give you inspiration instead of giving you a complete solution.

So no condition interaction and lack of aiming skills is roughly my summa summarum of his problems.

That really depends upon the suggestion/entry, now doesn't it?
