That's a legitimate reason, I accept that.Rising_Dusk wrote:He does already. I really think the white contrasts beautifully with his armor colors as it is and he looks simple enough but still detailed enough. I'm a big fan of this texture, I'll be perfectly honest; it's one of my favorites.

The skin is really awesome and I don't think I'm in a position to comment but...
Why does He Look so...Depressed?
The rest of the skin looks awesome though and the same goes with Victor in DoE > >
They look so sad... I know the Death Knight model and it's difficult to make it look very happy but, Astelan looks depressed!!!

Should he really be happy to be fighting a war that will result in half if not all of his comrades dying? I mean really, would you be happy were you in his shoes? That aside, he has a very neutral look to me.

He looks more tired then depressed, tbh. As well he should be. He's fighting a war that's pretty much been going on his entire life (I think?).

He shares that trait with his father. Death of comrades and inevitability of oblivion have a tendency to weigh heavily upon the heart.

It's a good thing too (in it's own way). Imagine how creepy it would be if he wasn't? Just smiling and spewing Order doctrine about how fallen comrades are in a better place now, congratulating someone when their friend/brother dies? Hell, if there was someone like that, I'd probably defect to the Bane first chance I got...
And though you come out of each gruelling bout,
All broken and beaten and scarred,
Just have one more try—it’s dead easy to die,
It’s the keeping-on-living that’s hard.

I guess I should have thought before I posted...
That makes a great deal of sense and gives me a different feel about him now : (.

I dunno but i theres something about his sword that i doesnt like.
The sword looks kinda like plastic, neither does it look sharp. As a swordman by myself i cant say i like it, the lion head is awesome though.
Maybe its the shape that makes it looks so thick or i just need an ingame picture of it. On the middle figure the weapon looks like a lance XD
But hey maybe its just because i fight mainly with Katana style weapon and not with European like 2 hand weapons.

I don't see why a war torn veteran should have a pristine sword in the first place. This fits his character very well as it is.

Re: 3.00 Astelan
It's a videogame, exaggerated weaponry is practically a requirement. To boot, the model's sword is based on what is considered a 'runeblade,' which is inherently large and blunt for a sword.

Really depends on the videogame.Rising_Dusk wrote:It's a videogame, exaggerated weaponry is practically a requirement. To boot, the model's sword is based on what is considered a 'runeblade,' which is inherently large and blunt for a sword.
I think he is telling the weapon doesn't look gritty enough. I personally have no objections.
Those who seek war deserve for the war to find them.
