3.00 Astelan
AR and I have been back and forth on this one a bit. First we had some emblem on his cape, but it wasn't visible in-game, then we were wondering the best approach for the cape. I really like the white cape because it offsets and contrasts some serious badassery in-game, but maybe it's too bright? I am unsure. Your all's thoughts?
I do really love that he looks a lot like his father while still retaining that 'something more' vibe.

I'd say it's pretty rad as it is . Good job AR!

About the cape, huh. The place where it starts, under the nape, it doesn't go well with the hair and armour. Maybe darkening it a bit there will help?
Re: 3.00 Astelan
Very nice. I don't think it's too bright.

Now that's a Lionsblade!
He does look a bit ordinary, but the model does have some difficulty with details. If you would compare it to the original Arthas skin, the difference is remarkable. The colors blend in so good.
Another one bites the dust.

Looking again, I agree with Andriejj, the cape seems sorta unattached.

Re: 3.00 Astelan
Which model does this skin use?
I'm assuming either Arthas or Admiral Proudmoore.

Arthas. And he's the spitting image of his father...
Other then this, I can think of no criticism. But don't darken the rest of the cape too much, just that little part.andriejj wrote:About the cape, huh. The place where it starts, under the nape, it doesn't go well with the hair and armour. Maybe darkening it a bit there will help?

Re: 3.00 Astelan
I think the level of detail is perfect, this is optimal for in-game as every little bit is seen and the colors contrast beautifully. I do sort of agree with the brightness of the cape towards the top, but if you look at the normal Arthas texture it's the same way (Just with team color). I was really pleased with this one, to be perfectly honest.
AR should probably try it with the darkened top and I'll test it, but I have a hunch it'll look better as-is.

Meh, okay. It'd probably look fine in-game.
This one does seem a lot more finished and finalized then Kree's skin does.
I asked this before, but who's on the 3.00 Art Team?

Re: 3.00 Astelan
He looks a bit older than in the 2.0 AotZ, what with the eye rings and slightly dull stare. More weary.
But the armor almost makes him look evil. Kain of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain comes to mind, in his Iron Armor. The red and gold serves to give it a bit of a regal look but the iron parts seem too dark to represent "goodness." So it's like, by appearance, he's undecided. The cape does offset this though, being silvery white.
Props on the Lion Blade.

He doesn't exactly represent goodness. He's not a saint. But the iron hardly looks evil, imo. It just looks like iron. Dunno, I guess I mostly disagree with your opinion.Meliarune wrote:But the armor almost makes him look evil. Kain of Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain comes to mind, in his Iron Armor.
