Turning a solid object into a not solid object tends to be difficult short of redoing the portrait model. (Which we're doing for Dahaka, mind you, making this a possibility)

Also, there's an updated version with better contrast, but it's at home. Wait 14 hours or so for me to get there and be able to upload a picture.

Yeah, but maybe just making it LOOK less solid would work. The way it's set up now, the edges of it cut really sharply to anything else, there's no transitional border, so it sticks really far out. If it was more of a background piece, I think maybe it would look less imposing.

Its a 2 color alpha, no way to smooth it out.

It's definetely getting better and better, but at this point, the bright red looks kinda odd next to all that purple, imho.

It'd be sweet to bring some red to the base of that mantle to make his red eyes look a bit less foreign. Not really a requirement for awesome, but still.
