How old is this relative? 19 months? How long has it been since they have been vaccinated? Three to four weeks? Is it male?

Re: AH1N1: Getting shot or not?

Nobody has discussed the relationship between MMR vaccines and autism, Merlin. Even broadening the topic fails to make your source relevant because the controversy does not involve flu vaccinations, nor can autism be accurately labeled a type of stupidity. The scope of implying the opinion of creati...

Re: Geocities Closes Down, XKCD Honors

The scheme script in the source could not have been written by the same person that wrote the code you see in the top-left corner of the page if the author was serious. The script isn't even necessary in the page. What is Randell trying to accomplish with its inclusion? It's cute, for what it's wort...

Re: [AoS Theorycraft] Terrain Based?

Try ditching the tile modification idea. Every hero has a "capture" spell that places a ward on the terrain that is now considered that hero's domain. The domain spell can be used to destroy targeted domains at an increased cost (mana, life, etc.). A hero can have a default maximum of three domains....

Re: Katanas are better than poleaxes.

It's funny how in this anime the katana is very detailed, but looking at this GIF you would never assume the object being cut in half was a broadsword. In the same episode it implied that western swords were made entirely by inserting the melted materials into a mold, which is not at all accurate. I...

Re: Katanas are better than poleaxes.

edit: Katanas were made from very low-quality steel. Folding is a smith technique for reducing the detriment of impurities in the steel by polarizing its composition. A technique for removing a detriment cannot create a product superior to a product that does not have a detriment. Even after the Jap...

Katanas are better than poleaxes.

Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind. Have you ever wondered why you never see samurai wearing armor that could deflect a poleaxe or bastard sword? The Japanese had created a weapon with such cutting po...

We could try the expert process, it is usually extremely effective at solving problems like this. What decade was the movie made from? Select multiple to indicate a range of possibility. * 60s * 70s * 80s * 90s edit: Eight days a week http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119054/ Peter loves his next door ne...

Re: Lesson to Vegetarians

Being a vegetarian for pragmatic reasons is not the rule which the person follows, but rather a incident of following their prime directive. The distinct difference between this and a more aesthetic implementation of a vegetarian diet is that the former is a tool which a rational person utilizes to ...

Re: Lesson to Vegetarians

Paint, tires, and medicine all include animal products. The person in question has never been independent of dead animals, but the fact that what she didn't know could never hurt her testifies to how useful her dietary restriction was.

Re: evony ads

Even before the Evony ads became increasingly sexual, the model's vacant stare combined with the low-quality of the image gives her a ghastly appearance. Her constant presence and utterly manufactured expression remind me more of the habits of a predator than a mistress, analyzing your weak points w...

The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters: A must-read.

Nick Smith's excursion into the literary arena represents a pivotal moment for American culture and civilization. In creating his novel, "The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters", Smith throws out all conventional ways and approaches to artistic expression and replaces them with new structures and p...

Lateral asymmetry in a wc3 spell? Next you'll be making passive abilities with cooldowns and spending resources other than HP or mana, you damn dirty deviant.
