Exactly. The trilogy ordeal is only for campaigns in order to make them "more epic" according to blizzard. Not like I am trying to justify what they are doing but I think you people are just over analyzing. I mean, I'm very sure you aren't -required- to buy all three.First of all how do you know they are gonna be 50$ each?
Let's do what comes naturally
I'll be waiting in Haven.

Unless... they make that each disk unlocks its respective race for multiplayer. Which would be the equivalent of Blizzard shooting his own foot and eating it. Not likely to happen. But still...Loki wrote:Exactly. The trilogy ordeal is only for campaigns in order to make them "more epic" according to blizzard. What a crazy assumption. lol
Do you understand how terrible that would work? lol

I f*cking hate greedy blizzard. Pay for world of warcraft, or get your sh*t updated every 2 years, and by updated I mean, break 50 maps to fix a mere sound problem with one. Now, they want you to pay 150 for a friggin game, because, you know, they wouldn't make money over time. They make me vomit.
Re: SC2 as a Trilogy - 150$ Game
It is equally likely as blizzard cutting off their foot and eating it. But shit anything could happen.Loki wrote:What a crazy assumption. lol

*Inside Blizzard*
Employee Drone: Sir, our actions are falling really fast.
Blizzard Executor: Cut off your feet and eat it.
Employee Drone: But, sir...
Blizzard Executore: Do not question my AUTHORITY! Do it!
*employee cuts off and eats his own foot. Blood gushing in slow motion*

Let's adjust the perspective here, most games do not offer the option of playing through an entire game from every faction viewpoint, most offer just one viewpoint or character for the player. What if blizzard was to make a fully engrossing, and complete gameplay experience playing as just one race in single player? They would only be meeting the status quo. Also, consider that there is no reason to assume one of the campaigns to be of any less quality than if they had happened to divide all the missions on each disk between races instead of having you play as one throughout.
I am disappointed the short term that I will not be able to try each race in single player, and I sure as hell won't pay $150, but it's not like I am getting any less of a game for my money, a fallacy I must caution against.
Another perspective; all of metroid has you play as one character. If the prequel just so happened to have other characters take 2/3 of the spotlight, that should be ignored.
The comparison to pokemon is also humorous. Players have to pay twice to go through the same game twice just to fill out a dozen missing pokedex slots. Imagine how happy players would be if Nintendo sold two games that were actually different.
Of course, all this bullshit does not address why blizzard can't just put three disks in one box, up the price to at most $70, and end up offering the most epic piece of win $70 could buy. So yes, they are money grubbing, but at least the consumers aren't being completely raped.
